Office of Mail Services

Special Note: Although the College of Charleston has moved to a primarily remote-work status in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are here to serve you. We are monitoring and replying to email and phone calls.

Mail Services will continue to accept inbound and outbound shipments from all couriers until further notice. The customer service counter is closed, but the following services are available.

STUDENTS

  • The Ashley and Cooper locker banks in the Mail Services lobby remain available 24/7.
  • If you received an "expiry email notification," your item is still located in that locker bank with the same PIN. 
  • To forward your student mail if you have not already done so through the move-out form, please complete this form.


FACULTY AND STAFF

  • Mail and packages will be sorted by campus delivery stop and available for pickup from the locker banks located in the Mail Services lobby at 89 St. Philip Street, next to the St. Philip Street Parking Garage (PG). Individuals in charge of pickup will be emailed with instructions upon receipt of mail or packages. (See next item.)  

  • Departments and offices will need to arrange for one individual to pick up and drop off their area's mail. Once you determine who that will be, please email mailservices@cofc.edu with the following information: 

    • Name of contact person for mail
    • Department
    • Email
    • Preferred day(s) for pickup

 
A XEROX copier is available for copies or printing in the Mail Services lobby. You will need:

  • Your Cougar Card using pre-loaded Cougar Cash. (Instructions for loading funds can be found on the Cougar Card website.) The cost is $.10 per copy/print.  
  • 
A flash drive with your files, if you are printing. 




College of Charleston's Office of Mail Services coordinates efforts with the United States Postal Service, located on East Bay Street. We provide mail services for the students, faculty and staff of the College of Charleston.

A note to students about incoming packages

Once you receive notification from your mail courier (FedEx, UPS, USPS) that your package has been delivered, there will be a lag period for processing in our office.  Students will receive notifications via email when packages are available for pickup. 

Moving off campus?

All students moving off campus will need to check out of their mailbox at The Office of Mail Services before they head out. See Student Mail Services for more information!
